Attack on Kyiv: nighttime shelling kills at least six people

On the night of 23 June, Kyiv and the region suffered another massive missile attack from Russia. One of the missiles hit a multi-storey residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital. According to official information from the State Emergency Service, at least six people were confirmed dead in the morning. People are likely to be trapped under the rubble.

Rescuers and volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross rapid response team are working at the scene of the tragedy. They are providing assistance to the victims, supporting the evacuation of residents and meeting the basic needs of those who are homeless.

This attack was one of the worst in recent weeks and is yet another reminder of the danger that hangs over Ukrainian cities every day as a result of a full-scale invasion.
