Poland evacuates people from Israel, including Ukrainians

Poland has carried out the first evacuation of its citizens and foreigners from Israel due to the worsening security situation in the Middle East. 160 people, including Ukrainian citizens, have already arrived in Warsaw.

This was announced at a press conference in Warsaw by Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Henryka Moscicka-Dendis. She said that the passengers were brought to Poland from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, where they arrived after being evacuated from Israel.

The next flight, she said, is scheduled to leave from the Jordanian capital Amman. The military aircraft is to transport another 65 Polish citizens. Representatives of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Ukrainians are also involved in the evacuation. Warsaw assured of its readiness to continue to help Ukrainian citizens in the danger zone.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian embassies in Israel and Iran continue to compile evacuation lists to organise the evacuation of those wishing to leave the region.
