The training programme included practical actions to search for and rescue people in danger on the water. Participants also trained to provide first aid to victims, act under time constraints and interact with other services.
Red Cross volunteers provided first aid training and methodological support to the participants. Their participation enhanced the practical component of the event and helped to practice actions close to real-life scenarios.
Such exercises are of great importance for strengthening interagency cooperation, improving response algorithms and preserving human life and health during water emergencies.
