As of the beginning of May 2025, almost 62,000 current vacancies were registered in the database of the State Employment Service in Ukraine. The largest number of job offers on the labour market was recorded in the Lviv region — almost 12,000 vacancies. At the same time, the number of officially registered unemployed in the region was only about 5,000. Lviv region remains the only region in Ukraine where the number of available jobs significantly exceeds the number of job seekers.

The second largest city in terms of the number of vacancies is Kyiv. In the capital, employers offer almost 5,000 jobs, while there are 2,900 registered unemployed people. It is also one of the few regions where the supply of labour exceeds the demand.
As of the beginning of May, the number of available jobs in Lviv region was 25,500 on the Unified Job Portal, and over 75,000 in Kyiv. Instead, the lowest number of vacancies is recorded in the regions most affected by the hostilities: in Kherson region, there are only 542 offers, while the number of officially unemployed is 3.3 thousand, and in Donetsk region, there are 572 vacancies for 7.3 thousand job seekers.
